P.M. meets with Mexican President
The Prime Minister Said Musa addressed the Mexican congress today and met with President Ernesto Zedillo tonight as part of his official visit to Mexico City. The Belize delegation, which included various government officials, signed several cooperation agreements including one for the Museum of Belize and technical and educational cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Secretariat of Public Education of the United Mexican States. Prime Minister Musa and President Zedillo expressed their satisfaction with the increased level of bilateral trade. A trade and investment seminar was held for members of the private sector and then the entire delegation witnessed the Prime Minister laying a wreath at the monument of Los NiƱos Heroes. This afternoon Prime Minister Musa met with Mexico City Mayor Cuauhutemoc Cardenas and was interviewed on TV Azteca this evening. His trip to Mexico follows his visit to Trinidad and Tobago for the 20th CARICOM Heads of Government Summit.
