Police officer shoots himself in front of spouse
A senior police constable reportedly killed himself in front of his common-law wife early this morning on Rivero Street. Avril Hererra told police that around 1 a.m. Aloysius Guzman was preparing to go to work and told her he had a persistent pain in his hip and that he was tired of living. She says he was sitting at the dinning room table when he suddenly pulled out a revolver and shot himself in the temple. Police have yet to rule the death a suicide and a postmortem will be done tomorrow.
