Quarantine in Effect for Passengers from Some African Countries
New public health measures came into effect on Monday night. These will see the curfew hours extended to eleven p.m. to four a.m. on week days and twelve a.m. to four a.m. on weekends. Additionally, new measures are being imposed for persons entering Belize through the airport who have travelled from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa or Zimbabwe. Persons entering Belize from any of these countries will be placed in mandatory quarantine for a period of ten days at a government designated quarantine facility in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry responsible for Health.
