Six arrested for counterfeit $100s
It took a while but a semi-alert bartender in the Cayo District finally realized the hundred dollar bills his customers kept spending were too good to be true. Six young men have been arrested for possessing counterfeit money after Beong Giou Chow of Dynasty Club on the Western Highway reported that between 11 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday the youths paid for several rounds of beer with blue notes that all had the same serial number. When he realized what was happening he confronted his customers, but they fled, except for 17 year old Elizare Valientos who was taken into custody by a police officer. On Sunday Roberto Gomez, Roylee Young, Hubert Fabers, Godfrey Yearwood and Christopher Jeffords were picked up and charged.
