“Benji” murdered on Baron Bliss Day
And in a murder in Belize City, Brian Williams, also known as “Benji”, would have turned thirty-four on March seventeenth but will never get to see that day because his life was cut short around two on Baron Bliss Day. Williams was reportedly painting a house at the corner of Faber’s Road and Nurse Findley Crescent when someone gunned him down. Police provided some information at a press briefing earlier today but his sister, Leonnette Williams, told us off-camera that her brother was trying to improve his life.
Senior Superintendent David Henderson
“It seems that it was a planned murder and it seems that it was something really brazen but we haven’t really established what is the motive although I do know that one is from Gill Street area and the other is from south side. So I know it is two rival groups.”
Sharon Marin, Krem Television
“Have you been able to get any information from the cameras in the area?”
Senior Supt. David Henderson
“No, the camera is out at this time. It is not working so we were unable to get the information from the camera.”
Keisha Milligan, Krem Television
“Would you say it is linked to the murder that took place on Caesar Ridge Road where the young man is said to be affiliated with the South Side.”
Senior Supt. David Henderson
“Well, I don’t want to link them but I know that they are from two rival groups.”
