Law revision commissioner appointed
Its been twenty years since the laws passed by the National Assembly were compiled and published in volume form. In order to add all the new acts, remove those which are no longer in force and incorporate the supplemental pages published in 1990, Dr. Nicholas Liverpool has been appointed Law Revision Commissioner. He will produce a revised edition of the substantive laws of Belize. Dr. Liverpool who was revision commissioner for the subsidiary laws published in 1991 has been associated with the laws of Belize for the past twenty years. He will be assisted by Cynthia Pitts, former judge of the Family Court. The new revised addition will include all acts passed up to the year 2000 and is expected to consist of 7 to 8 volumes. The entire exercise should be completed by the middle of next year.
