Strict Protocols for Holiday Gatherings

Some people will be permitted to hold their social holiday events, as the Commissioner indicated, but the hosts will have to have strict protocols in place.

“The regulations do have provisions that (state) if you want to hold a social event, you can apply to the Ministry of Health and explain to them what you’re going to host and they’re going to approve or disapprove. If approval is given, they’re going to provide a number of criteria that you must meet as a part of the requirements. That is not against the law, because the regulations do make provisions for that.”
