Zoo camp begins
For the next two weeks, the Belize Zoo will be inhabited by wild animals of a different nature. Yesterday the Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center launched its Conservation Camp 1999. Children from all over Belize will participate in numerous activities including visits to nature trails, day and night tours of the Zoo and nearby caves. In August five past campers and a camp leader will be traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands for a six-day conference on Natural History, Ecology and Conservation. Businesses interested in being sponsors are asked to please contact the Belize Zoo.
