Season Greetings from PM Briceño to the Media Corps

As his last interview before the extended Christmas weekend, Prime Minister John Briceño shared season greetings with the media as the fourth estate.

“As we come towards the end of the year, I know especially for citizens, but in particular the media, you do a difficult job and sometimes thankless because you can’t please everybody, including us when we believe that we are right. But I must admit and I say it sincerely by you there being difficult, you keep us on our toes and trying to do as best as we possibly can. You use the word honest and that’s true, but that also applies to the media because many times members of the media are not honest in their reporting. But I want to thank you all for the work that you do and to wish you all a Merry Christmas, a blessed Christmas and also for the best in 2022 and I look forward to be able to strengthen that relationship between yourselves and ourselves where we could continue to do the work of our people. I mean you have our work, we have our work, but we believe that at the end of the day it is for the betterment of all Belizeans. So, certainly on behalf of myself and our cabinet, I want to say thank you to each and every one of you.”
