G.O.B. Still to Deliberate Interim Agreement Expiration Date

On the Government of Belize’s end, a decision has not been reached on B.S.C.F.A.’s request. When we caught up with, Jose Mai, Minister of Agriculture, outside of the B.S.C.F.A.’s office in Orange Walk today, he told us that he is yet to see B.S.C.F.A.’s letter.

“I have not analyzed that yet. I have to sit carefully and analyze it, consult with the people in the ministry, including the Prime Minister before I can answer to that. But, I am sure if they have asked for an extension up until August, there must be some justifiable reason for it. And, I haven’t read that yet, and I haven’t seen the document as yet. But, when I do then I can comment on it.”
