Ticketed Fire Personnel Say Incident Uncalled For

The incident was captured on amateur video by Ebony Wright, one of the fire fighters, who is still in disbelief. She believes that the situation could have been handled differently.

“Exactly, it really uncalled for because if the police mi come to we with respect, even if ih mi want ticket wi and he come to we nice, I mean we mi wah respond nice. But he made this whole thing jump outta proportion fi be wah sergeant and noh know how fi come and talk to we.”

“Well we are waiting because the court date that we are supposed to go is the tenth of February. We didn’t do any offense or anything. We were at work on our compound talking to our supervisor. If it was on the street, we would have understood that we are in the wrong cause we are on the street. But we are in our compound at work. No civilian or nobody else was with us or on our compound.”
