Resorts & Hotels Not Exempted from COVID-19 Regulations

Chester Williams

And, if you are planning to play tourist and go to a resort or hotel to find a party, ComPol Williams says these places are not exempt from the ban on illegal gatherings of more than ten people.  And, those who allow large numbers to gather on their premises will not just get a ticket, but end up behind bars for the start of the New Year.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“Now there are some of these places that are resorts or hotels and they believe that because they are resorts or hotels, that they can have social events for their guests. Let me remind them that the regulation clearly states that you cannot gather in groups of more than ten with persons who are from different households. The guests that stay at these hotels are from all over the world; they are not from the same households and reside in different cabanas or rooms at the hotels and so if you bring them together in one social setting, you are in clear violation of the COVID-19 regulation and we will do what needs to be done in accordance with the law.”
