Police look for theft suspect
The employees of Venus Photos and Records got a surprise this morning when they discovered that their store had been burglarized some time last night. According to the Manager, Leopoldo Silva around three thirty this morning the padlock on the Albert Street show window was cut and the window broken. He said that the burglars made off with over a thousand dollars worth of headphones, walkman radios and audio cassettes. Although Silva has yet to make an official report to the police, their investigations on Cairo Street have recovered a box containing a number of the stolen articles and the arrest of two brothers: Jermaine and Stockle Monsanto pending charges.
Another theft was also reported this afternoon in Belize City. According to police nine thousand dollars was stolen from a vehicle parked in front of a wholesale store on Euphrates Avenue at twelve thirty. Police are asking the public’s assistance in finding their prime suspect Darryl “Baga” Jones. If anyone sees him they are asked to inform the police immediately.
