Puck Insists His is the Legitimate Board

Everlado Uk has since written to Vladimir Puck, informing him of the results of the Special General Assembly that took place over the weekend. Of note is the letter, dated today January tenth, lists Puck as “Former Chairman”. Puck, however, contends he remains the legitimate chairman of the Association, until the matter is ventilated before the courts.

“Myself, as we mentioned at the beginning at the meeting. If it was Mr. Uk, then I think you would be interviewing him. But, the thing is, the support from the farmers and the whole procedure in which this meeting was requested is wrong. We have our lawyer working on that. So, there are certain things I cannot expand too much on it, but I am sure that before this week end we will have enough information as to how things occurred. There needs to be some investigations in the SICB and so forth. We are the legitimate board, we are the legitimate board. I don’t understand how a minority can call a meeting and say it is legal, even though the Sugar Board was present.”

Our attempts to get comments from the Chairman of the Sugar Industry Control Board were unsuccessful. We will continue to follow.
