“Police responded to a scene between miles nineteen and twenty on the George Price Highway, where they saw a male identified as Mario Rivera trapped in a Chevy Tracker. Initial investigations reveal that Eric Williams, a James bus driver, was traveling towards Belize City when suddenly the white Tracer swerved into his lane. He tried to avoid hitting him, but at that time it was too late, and they made contact. Upon impact, they both ended up on the left side of the highway. This person was trapped in his vehicle for a little while and the Fire Department from Ladyville proceeded to that scene to assist the Police with the “Jaws of Life” (equipment), where they managed to remove him. At that time, he was transported to the KHMH where he was pronounced dead.”
