Northern Water System Rehabilitation Begins
This morning, ground was broken for the start of rehabilitation works for the Libertad and Concepcion rural water system in the Corozal District. According to the Ministry of Rural Development, the project has two parts, the expansion of the existing water system and the addition of eight hundred more connections for homes, schools and churches. The project is being executed by the Social Investment Fund with financing of over one million Belize dollars in financing from the Caribbean Development Bank. When completed, it will provide improved water services for better sanitation and hygiene for residents of Libertad and Concepcion.
