Jealous boyfriend leads attack on youth

A young man was violently attacked by five men in Santa Elena, Cayo on Saturday night. Edward Peters has been hospitalized and five men Allan, Denis and Aaron Castillo, Lindburg Bahador and Denis Castellanos are in police custody. Police say nineteen-year-old Edward Peters was escorting a young lady in the New Area of Santa Elena, when he was attacked by six youths. Peters, who sustained two broken arms and chop wounds to his body, was rushed to the San Ignacio Hospital and later transferred to Karl Heusner Memorial. Police believe the attack was prompted by jealousy since the young woman is the girlfriend of one of the men. San Ignacio Police are still looking for eighteen year old David Leon in connection with the incident.
