As part of Drug Awareness Week, the Young Artists Association invites your family out to the Memorial Park tonight for two hours of entertainment. The show gets underway at seven and according to its coordinator, William Neal, there will be something for everyone at the park.
William Neal, Coordinator, Family Night
“Tonight the Young Artists Association in collaboration with the National Drug Abuse Control Council will be having a family night of entertainment. It is an initiative to really bring people out as a family to enjoy some good entertainment and to show young people that there are alternatives to drug just by living a healthy lifestyle.”
Q: “What kind of entertainment will be provided?”
William Neal
“You will have rapping, singing and dancing. There will even be an exhibition. I hope I am saying this right, Copella from Brazil and we are having poetry. We are having a variety of shows and it’s free and it’s out at the Memorial Park.”
The family night is expected to run until nine. If you are under the age of sixteen you are reminded to attend the event with an adult family member because of the curfew.
