Corozal Police Investigate Land Dispute

Police are investigating a report of a land dispute that prevented a family from leaving their home in Corozal. Reliable information reaching News Five is that police were informed earlier today that access to the house in the Altamira area on the outskirts of town had been blocked on Sunday. When police showed up to the premises, one of the family members told them that they had been locked in by their next door neighbours, who chained and padlocked a gate in their yard. This is their only means of exit or entry. The padlocked and chains were removed in the presence of police who are investigating what took place.
