Elderly Caretaker Tied Up and Kill in Xiabe, Corozal
This morning, police responded to a gruesome scene at a farm in Xiabe Village, Corozal. Inside an unpainted concrete bungalow, police discovered the mutilated body of an elderly man. Sixty-seven-year-old Fermin Rivera, a naturalised Belizean living in the village years now, was tied up, stabbed, and chopped multiple times to the body. Investigation so far suggests that the caretaker was ambushed and attacked around five a.m. today. Police investigation continues into this latest homicide in the north.
