Steadfast Villager Found Dead Near Creek
The body of a man discovered in the Stann Creek District has been identified by family members. Police say a missing persons report from Steadfast Village led to a search of the area and on Monday a body with chop wounds was found near a creek. The deceased was identified as Filberto Ramirez, a Belizean construction from Steadfast. Initial investigations revealed that Ramirez had been with five other men at a house in the village on Saturday, but family members reported he has not been seen since. Police are investigating.
