B.E.L. Assists St. Peter’s Anglican School to Improve Accessibility for Students

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Belize Electricity Limited has made a contribution to assist a primary school in Orange Walk Town with the installation of a sidewalk and wheelchair ramps to connect to four school buildings.  Saint Peter’s Anglican School, which offers inclusive programs for students with diverse abilities, is upgrading its facilities in time for the resumption of face-to-face learning.  In a statement from Principal Osmair Henry, he said, “B.E.L.’s contribution towards the construction of the ramps and sidewalks has significantly improved access to the school’s facilities, especially for our five students in wheelchairs.” The school has an enrolment of two hundred and sixty-six students, with forty-two children enrolled in a Special Education Program.
