Seven year old reports indecent assault

A prison officer has been charged with indecent assault. But the incident for which forty-two year old Leslie Usher has been arrested did not take place at Hattieville, but is alleged to have occurred in his car. A thirty five year old Ladyville resident says she was waiting by the Pallotti junction around ten thirty Saturday night when Usher offered her a ride home. The woman told police that Usher drove his car into a dark area of Vista Del Mar and began to fondle her. She says she managed to get away and immediately reported the matter to the police.

Another child has reported being molested, and a youth has been charged. A seven year old told police that eighteen year old Hyro Garcia molested her several months ago. She told police Garcia came to her house one day and began to touch her inappropriately. He has been charged with indecent assault.

In related news eighteen year old Frank Elijio of a Mahogany Street address has been charged with unlawful carnal knowledge following a report made by the mother of a fourteen year old girl over the weekend. The girl told her mother she was walking on Orange Street around 8:30 Saturday morning when she was approached by Elijio who was on a bicycle. According to the girl Elijio ordered her to get on the bicycle which she later did. He then took her to the Hanger by the Municipal Airstrip and had sex with her. It is not yet known whether he had sex with her against her will that morning but the minor told police that she had sexual intercourse with Elijio before.
