Police Open Cyber Crime Center
A new Police Cyber Crime Center has been created. This afternoon the Police Information Technology and Cyber Crime Unit, along with the Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries, Kareem Musa, and Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, joined the representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new Cyber Crime Center will include a Digital Forensic Laboratory. Its main function is to acquire all electronic devices related to cyber offences and collect digital evidence. It is big news for the Belize Police Department in its fight against cyber crime in Belize.
