Freetown Road Shooting Leaves One Man Injured
A Belize City resident is lucky to have escaped grave injuries when he was fired upon by an unknown assailant as he stood near a grocery store on Freetown Road. The incident happened on Saturday night and has left Charles Reid recovering from gunshot wounds he received during the attack.

“Sometime around 8:03 p.m. where police visited an area on Freetown Road in front of a grocery store, where Charles Reid was standing when a lone male person on a bicycle, unknown to him, rode past and fired shots at him. One hit him and he was transported to the K.H.M.H. where he is listed in a stable condition.”

“Any idea as to what may have prompted this shooting?”

“Well, like I said, he couldn’t identify that person and has since told investigators that he doesn’t know why anyone would want to shoot at him.”
