Orange Walk Town Says Farewell to Elito Urbina Sr.

The official funeral for eighty-six year old Elito Urbina Senior was held today in Orange Walk Town. A guard of honor comprising members of the Belize Defence Force escorted the coffin to La Imaculada Church for the memorial service. His bearer party was headed by Commander Captain Clifford Avila and funeral director was Warrant Officer Class Two Nelson Hughes. Many viewers, particularly those in the north, will remember Elito Urbina Senior as a three term Area Representative for Orange Walk North. In the 1960’s he ran as a member of the People’s United Party and then later joined the United Democratic Party. Urbina was a former president of the Senate and a Minister of Home Affairs.  Following the service, Elito Urbino Senior was laid to rest at the Orange Walk Town Cemetery.
