U.D.P. Leaders Prepare for Upcoming Convention
With only a couple of weeks left, the race towards the U.D.P.’s leadership convention, to be held on March twenty-seventh, continues. Leader of the Opposition and U.D.P. Party Leader Candidate Shyne Barrow, declined to comment today, saying he is once more on the campaign trail. On Thursday, he was in Corozal visiting delegates alongside Area Representative Hugo Patt and U.D.P. Corozal Southeast Caretaker Tony Herrera. On Wednesday, Barrow and his campaign team met with members of the Party’s Fort George Executive. Today, they were on the move in the Cayo District. Tracey Taegar Panton, the second Party Leader candidate, had her campaign temporarily halted due to the sudden passing of her husband attorney and U.D.P. stalwart Herbert Panton.
