New ‘Independence to Belize City’ Bus Run Start Date Pushed Back
Floralia Limited has pushed back their ‘Independence to Belize City’ bus run start date at the request of the government. The run was initially set to begin today, Monday March fourteenth. But, while faced with an application for permission for judicial review to declare their road service permit for the run illegal, the company decided to push the run’s start date March twenty-first. If the court agrees to put a stay on the Independence to Belize permit, the start date will have to once again be delayed. We spoke to Owner and Director of Floralia Limited briefly over the phone today.
Marvin Vanzie, Owner & Director, Floralia Ltd.
“It had nothing to do with the legal challenge. Well, I wouldn’t say anything. It is all a part of that. Then there has been a lot of not made public, but a lot of little threats being thrown around. So, the government authorities felt it would be better if we delay it by a week and on their side, I think they are trying to allow for things to simmer a bit so that it is a smooth thing next week Monday.”
We will have more on this in our Tuesday night’s news cast.
