Shyne Calls for Action on Increasing Fuel Prices

And, the Leader of the Opposition says, it is high time the government seek to address the rising cost in fuel. Barrow reminded reporters that he has been advocating on behalf of the Belizean people on this issue since becoming a member of the House.

“Every since I have come into this honorable house, I have never been churlish. I have never personally attacked any of my colleagues. All I have done is presented the concerns, the cries, the pain and suffering of the Belizean people. So, I am happy that my interventions on behalf of the Belizean people as to the impact the high fuel prices, the high cost of living has been accepted by the Prime Minister and he is taking corrective measures. That is what we are suppose to do, the Opposition is suppose to hold the government accountable, and I am pleased that we are prompting actions by the government. And, I would like to see that that materialize in way that will actually bring relief to the Belizean people.”
