Central American children’s art exhibit
Earlier this year Mexican Embassies throughout Central America asked primary school students to submit paintings for the Mexican government’s annual prize award exhibition. Now the best entries are on a tour of the region and it’s Belize’s turn. The winners are hanging on the walls of the Belize/Mexico Institute of Culture.
Paz Cervantes, Director, Belize/Mexico Institute of Culture
“There are some that are really fantastic and amazing the way these kids paint. I hope they painted them themselves and did not get the help of their fathers but some you see that it was the kids. It is really fantastic.
This is the second year in which all the kids from Central America send their paintings to the embassies in each country.”
The exhibition, which got underway in Mexico City then made its way to Guatemala City, will be in Belize until April the thirtieth. From here the exhibition goes to El Salvador.
