The performance of the P.U.P. Government will be put to the test very soon when village council elections begin. Today Minister of Local Government, Oscar Requena, shared a possible time frame that his ministry and the Elections and Boundaries Department are considering.

“We’re looking at possibly May, June, you know that is the possible time frame that we’re looking at and certainly, we’re working very closely with the Elections and Boundaries (Department) to ensure that it’s a smooth process.”

“Are there maybe issues in seeing that happening because we’re doing this redistricting exercise?”

“Not at the moment. That wouldn’t affect the process.”
