Orange Walk preschool reopens
Four years ago the Pete Lizarraga Preschool in San Estevan Village in the Orange Walk District sent home its staff and students and closed its doors due to budgetary constraints. Today, the school was officially reopened with an enrollment of thirty-five children and two teachers. The curriculum will be based on music, basic phonics and various disciplines leading to primary school. The school was reopened after the area representative Dave Burgos approached Cabinet and the Ministry of Education for assistance.
