Opposition Leader Receives Honorary Doctorate

Moses “Shyne” Barrow

Moses “Shyne” Barrow, the Leader of the Opposition, received an honorary Doctorate’s Degree in Humane Letters at the University of Liberia. Barrow was in Liberia to give the commencement speech at the university. Here is a snippet from the speech he delivered.

“Fled the clutches of inhumane slavery and returned to their motherland to create a nation of free human beings— which we should all be. We all have the inalienable right to freedom and liberty and pursuit of happiness. Liberia represents that. Against all odds, stolen from their home land, and trafficked to this new world of inhumanity and perversion, they returned to their land by the grave of god and created a nation of freedom. So, you my friends should celebrate because you are a beckon of light to the nations.”
