Authorities say fire caused by negligence

Two children: Isandra Logan and Tisandra Logan lost their lives in a fire Saturday night on Tibruce Street and a third child Alden Logan Martinez died early Monday morning. Today Fire Chief Henry Baizar told News Five they have determined the fire was caused by negligence. Police told News Five they will be submitting a report to the Director of Public Prosecutions in order to take action against the parents who left the children home alone Saturday night. Their grandmother was upstairs but was unaware her daughter, her son and his wife had gone out until she heard two of the grandchildren screaming for help. She managed to pull two of the children out of a window but was unable to get inside because a table had been jammed against the door. The four year old was badly burned, however, and died of his injuries the next day. Two other children aged one and two appear to have died of smoke inhalation and were found still in their beds by fire fighters.
