“The knowledge around adapting and mitigating to climate change rests very squarely within the country and what we are recommending is that in order for the dialogue around tourism and gender equality to start to take place, we are suggesting that a plethora of ministries come together. This means dedicating time and resources to run national workshops. We are also recommending that the M.N.E. – or those departments that are responsible for collecting evidence – that they should have a one-day indicator workshop again with those clusters to share their findings, decide what is it that we can measure that is meaningful in terms of how women and men are working together around climate change issues across the country.”
