U.D.P.’s “Yellowman” Videoed In Scuffle With Police
U.D.P. loyalist, Bryan “Yellowman” Audinett faced off with police officers on Saturday night outside a Belize City establishment. Details as to what triggered the altercation have yet to be released, but a video is circulating. This morning we asked ASP Yearwood for a comment on the incident.
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Director, Belize Police Department
“I only saw a video that was sent to me. I saw the lot of comments on it. But, I don’t usually report on those incidents. I don’t know if Mr. Audinett made any complaint, but I know that because I am a trained officer, we are trained to reprimand people, to bring you to normalcy. From what I understand from that video, there was some kind of resistance that was put up for what I do not know. But, usually the cameras begin to roll when the police are reacting. So, in all fairness to the officers, I will wait for a report on that one before I make any major comment on it. But, I can say that we were trained to use justifiable force and harm when we believe you are behaving in a manner that would be life threatening or threatening to us, even to an extent resisting or trying to elude the police or trying not to be detained for an offense committed. We would have use what we believe is justified under the law to get you into custody.”
