Seven charged for Chinese murder

Seven men have been arrested and charged with the murder of Chinese businessman Lee Yun Chong which occurred last Monday night on Jasmin Street. This morning David Sutherland, Carlos Escalante, Alex Goff, Elvis Rosado, Ashton Belgrave, Jerry Usher and Francis Pollard Jr. were formally charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, grevious harm, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, use of deadly means of harm and two counts of discharging firearm in public. We asked police what led them to the arrest of all seven men. They said that after the death of Chong people came forward and told them that they saw the men going to the shop just before the death of Chong as well as the assault of his wife. Police were also told that residents also saw the men taking off masks and running away from the scene after they heard shots fired. All seven men have been remanded. Police are still on the manhunt for Kenrick Reneau who is also wanted by the police for the death of Lee Yun Chong.
