Two children report assault while mother not home

Another man has been arrested and remanded to Hattieville Prison after he allegedly molested two minors in his neighborhood on Monday March twenty ninth. This time the children were only five and seven years old. Thirty eight year old Michael Reneau of number forty Plues Street in Belize City was picked up by police on Wednesday after the mother of the children reported that Reneau entered her house and assaulted the children. Police investigations revealed that the children were home alone at the time of the incident and Reneau is their next door neighbor. According to A.I.P. Simeon Alvarez, when the mother got home her older daughter told her what happened. News Five has also learnt that it was not the first time that the seven year old was molested, allegedly by Reneau, but it is the first time that the incident has been reported to the Criminal Investigations Branch. Reneau appeared in Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday and was charged with two counts of indecent assault. He was denied bail and will be behind bars until April eighth when he is scheduled to reappear in Magistrate’s Court.
