Escaped prisoners recaptured
Less than twenty four hours after four prisoners made their break for freedom from their maximum security cell at the Hattieville Prison early Tuesday morning, three of the convicts are now safely behind bars. The fourth is at the K.H.M.H. being treated for a gunshot wound to his leg. Three of the men were caught off guard by police who found them resting by the riverside in the village of Bermudian Landing shortly around twelve midnight Tuesday. Police easily apprehended sixteen year old Rocky Matura Williams and twenty five year old Juan Alvarez, but seventeen year old Juan Ramirez is reported to have made a run for it. He was stopped in his tracks with a bullet to the buttocks. Today twenty-two year old Maximiliano Williams was captured at three and half miles on the Coastal Road. Like Alvarez, he is reported to have fled. Police say they were forced to shoot him in the leg. The men escaped from their cell in the maximum security section of the prison by chipping away at a corroded door lock until they could open it.
