First Fatal Accident Reported in Gales Point Manatee
It is the first fatal accident being reported in Gales Point Manatee, but on Saturday night, seventeen-year-old Jashua Samuels lost his life after he lost control of a motorcycle. Around six p.m., Samuels was riding the motorcycle near the cemetery in the village when he crashed into a lamppost and sustained severe head and body injuries. He was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital, but died. Communications Director, Assistant Superintendent Fitzroy Yearwood shared details.

“They were informed that the driver of a motorbike Jashua Samuels was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital. I know that initial investigation reveal that he was driving his motorbike around the cemetery area of Manatee when he lost control of it and collided into a lamppost. Unfortunately, Jashua, seventeen-year-old, succumbed to his injuries at the Southern Regional Hospital while receiving treatment.”

“Well Jules to be honest, I didn’t see that indicated in the report, but I will query about it.”

“Was he sixteen or seventeen?”

“Seventeen, according to what the report is saying. But I know that at the age of seventeen, you could be the holder of a valid driver’s license.”
