A Woman is Stabbed by Her Ex-Common-Law Husband in Placencia
An argument between a Honduran national and his former common-law wife in Placencia has resulted in him being sought for criminal charges after allegedly stabbing thirty-year-old Vanessa Reyes in the face. Despite an attempt to subdue Christon Rocha, he managed to escape and remains on the lam.

“Police responded to a report at about 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, the seventeenth, in Placencia Village near A.C. Supermarket where they spoke with Vanessa Reyes, thirty-eight years old, who reported to the police that she was involved in an argument with her ex-common-law husband, Christon Rocha, a Honduran national of Dangriga Town. She said that Rocha left and returned about three minutes later with a knife and stabbed her several times in the face. Passersby in that area managed to subdue Rocha and he managed to escape from them where managed to jump a fence and make good his escape. We know that police are looking for Christon Rocha in connection with this incident. We know that Reyes injuries have been classified as wounding. She was taken to the Placencia Polyclinic where she received medical attention.”
