Belize National Rugby Team Departs for Biggest Tournament in Bahamas
The Belize National Rugby Team left the country today for Nassau, Bahamas to participate in the biggest rugby tournament this year. The team will be competing in the Rugby Americas North Commonwealth and Olympic Games Qualifiers tournament for the first time. Twenty-three countries including Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, and many others from the Caribbean and North America will converge for this tournament. The Belize team is hoping to put points against their ranking and build on their determination to find a spot in the Olympic Games. As we said, the team departed today on an American Airlines flight and will overnight in Dallas, before heading off to Nassau on Friday morning. The tournament takes place on Saturday and Sunday, this weekend.
