Woman Charged With Arson after Home and Boat Destroyed by Fire
A woman from Burrell Boom has been charged following a fire in Copper Bank. Police say Joseph Ronald Gronlund told police he and Shenice Lanza went to Sarteneja on Sunday. They later left a restaurant, he alleges, because Lanza was behaving in a disorderly way. When they got to his home, he says she began breaking objects in the house. A fire then started, and he saw her on the verandah. Despite Gronlund’s efforts and help from neighbors, they could not put out the blaze. The one bedroom dwelling, boat and trailer and household clothing and items valued at a total of one hundred thousand dollars were destroyed. On Thursday police arrested Shenice Lanza and charged her with arson.
