Justice George Singh dies
On a sad note, Justice George Bawa Singh died this morning at his home after a prolonged illness. Singh joined the public service in 1955, but it was in the judiciary that he made his most significant contributions. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Family Court and served as Puisne Judge, Chief Justice and was appointed to the Court of Appeal last year. He is survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters and five grandchildren. The funeral for Justice Singh will be held on Thursday March eleventh at Wesley Methodist Church.
