Youngest U.D.P. gets most votes for party

The youngest face on the U.D.P. slate, who also got the most votes for his party, Patrick Faber said regardless of the end result, this election was a chance for the U.D.P. to show it can rebuild itself.

“What is clear is that the old way is not working very well for either political party. The P.U.P. claim that they have reformed but I am not sure that I believe that personally and I and not sure that Belizeans believe it. They gave them a try in ’98 and it is left to be seen if they can properly change and show people that they have changed.

The U.D.P. right now is down and they are maybe more opened to new ideas and so maybe it would be easier for the U.D.P. But I certainly maintain that yes, people like me, people who want to make a change at the young stage definitely have some good ideas that they can take up to these older folks and I am sure that it’s just a matter of time before they realize that what we’re saying is right and dead on the money.”
