G.G. hosts Marching Band Fest
The Governor General is inviting all marching bands to compete in a festival next month. According to the Belize Arts Council, Marching Band Fest ’99 will feature two categories: brass bands and drums corps which include baton twirlers. Prizes and trophies will be given to the top two winners in each division. Entry forms should be turned in to the Governor General’s office in Belmopan by March twenty-seventh. The Marching Band Fest will be held on April twenty-fourth at the National Stadium in Belize City.
