Steve Ferrell is Shot Near Central American Boulevard
There was another shooting incident in Belize City that has left one man recovering from a gunshot wound to the left leg. Steve Ferrell was near the intersections of Central American Boulevard and Neal’s Pen Road near 88 Shopping Center when he came under attack by someone who fired multiple shots in his direction. Assistant Superintendent Fitzroy Yearwood, the Communications Director for the Belize Police Department provided additional details on what transpired on Sunday night.

“We had a reported shooting incident at the corner of Central American Boulevard and [Neal‘s] Pen Road last night where one Steve Ferrell, twenty-one years old, was shot in the leg, the left leg and left ankle. We have since detained Michael Gladden of an Antelope Street Extension area pending charges of use of deadly means of harm, dangerous harm, discharging a firearm and other related charges. He is presently detained due to quick police response. He was apprehended minutes after the incident occurred, a little after eight last night.”

“At this time I cannot say that we have an open motive, but I know that investigators have now been granted access to record a statement from Mr. Ferrell, so that will be done or should be done by now.”
