Man from Biscayne Shot in Belize City
A resident of Biscayne Village is in critical condition after he was shot on Tuesday evening in Belize City. Twenty-nine-year-old Evan Cain was walking on Jasmine Street in the Lake Independence area sometime around five-thirty p.m. when he heard a gunshot and realized that he had been hit. Commissioner of Police Chester Williams told News Five that police are investigating, while a relative of the victim told us they didn’t know their relative was shot.
On the Phone: Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“One individual was met with a gunshot wound to the back which exited the front region of his body. He was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he is listed in a critical but stable condition. Let me say that this individual is from Biscayne Village and the day before had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend and so we’re looking at that angle of it.”
