“Lost Between Two Worlds”

Belizean American Dorin Collins is using her story of rape, abortion, and a near death dog attack to encourage the masses. In her newly published book titled “Lost Between Two Worlds”, Collins gives readers an up-close and personal look into her teenager years in Belize when she was raped, got pregnant, and later forced by her father to get an abortion. Collins writes about her move to Los Angeles, California, her tragic encounter with a German Shepherd Dog which left her in a coma while she was preparing to become a registered nurse. Collins says she had an encounter with God during her coma.

“This book is about when I was attacked by a German Sheppard dog. It talked about how God rerouted my whole life during a coma. I was in a coma for three months and after I came out I had amnesia for two years. So, I was running away from God because of all the things that took place in my life, all the trauma. So, I said you know whatI don’t want to have nothing to do with God. But, during the coma God allowed me to experience and answer so many questions that I always had in regards to who he was and where are we going to go when we die and religion and all these stuff. So, after the coma I believe that God really had to take away my memory in order for him to allow me to discover who I am and my purpose here on this earth, which is to be able to empower and motive them through the stories of my past. So I use my past to help my people to encourage and empower them that they too could get through and there is hope for the future no matter what you are going through. I went through an abortion. I had to seek professional help, because the only member I had during that three months is in this paradise world where I was where there is no nights, it was all day. And now I’m experiencing there is night, a moonlight, and the doctor told my kids which I didn’t even know where my kids. The doctor said you know you have kids. I am like I don’t have kids in this other world. There was nothing I was experiencing like pain, coming back and they operated on my face. So, I had to learn to talk, walk and do all these stuff over. So, I didn’t understand why I would come into this world like this and taken from another place. But I understand now that everything God gave me a second a chance and I suppose to use that to serve him.”
