Land Rover flips over near Biltmore

A B.D.F. Land Rover wound up upside down in a ditch this morning after a collision on the Northern Highway near the Biltmore Plaza. According to police Arved Kummerten was driving a rented Suzuki towards Belize City when he stopped to make a left turn in front of Lloyd Beat and Sons Architecture firm. The Land Rover hit the Suzuki from behind and the Rover ran off the road and flipped over. The driver Leon Cabral and Michelle Phelix suffered minor injuries, but two other passengers were unhurt. Cabral told police the driver of the Suzuki had not signaled his intention to turn. No one in the Suzuki was hurt. Police have not charged anyone in connection with the incident.
